Polypropylene

Polypropylene (PP) is a thermoplastic polymer primarily made from propylene, a petrochemical derivative. It belongs to the polyolefin family and is a lightweight, flexible, and durable material used in a wide variety of applications.

PP has good chemical resistance and is resistant to many acids, alkalis, and organic solvents. It has a low density and high impact strength, making it very lightweight. The polymer has good heat resistance and can withstand temperatures up to 110 degrees Celsius. PP has good electrical insulating properties and is therefore suitable for manufacturing electrical and electronic components. It is non-hygroscopic and thus retains its mechanical properties even in moist conditions.
